YouTube to Offer Music and Games for Sale
The video sharing website that spread like wildfire, announced on Tuesday that they would soon be allowing visitors to purchase songs, concert tickets, books and even computer games through their database. Basically, when you watch a music video you like you will be able to click a “buy now” button that will lead you to Amazon or a similar site that has the song available. For a website that sold for 1.65 billion (yes billion) to Google in 2006, and only continued to grow in popularity, it’s curious why YouTube would want or even need to increase its revenue.
